OUR STORY

Legacy Cafรฉ is more than a restaurant itโ€™s a story of faith, resilience, and community that began in May 1985 with Desmond and Marjorie Brown. Leaving behind stable careers in New York, they came to Orlando with a dream: to bring the flavors of their Jamaican roots to a new home. By 1986, their vision took shape as D & M West Indian Food and Deli, a bold venture in the heart of downtown. Their little corner shop quickly became a gathering place, offering both authentic Caribbean staples and a sense of belonging in a changing city.
